“Without proper legal representation, a young person can acquire a lifelong criminal record as a result of a teenage mistake.”
Our legal system’s presumption of innocence until proven guilty, and an individual’s right to a fair trial take on added significance when the accused are children (aged 17 and under). Without proper legal representation, a young person can acquire a lifelong criminal record as a result of a teenage mistake.
Friedman & Frey, L.L.C. is dedicated to doing everything possible to work with judges and prosecutors to reduce charges, and keep young people’s futures from being tarnished in any way. To that end, great effort is afforded to ensure that the matter remains at the juvenile court level. Like any court striving to seek just outcomes, the juvenile court generally places greater emphasis on rehabilitation hoping to dissuade the juveniles from re-offending. If a matter cannot be resolved and should proceed to trial, the case is decided by a judge and not a jury.
Friedman & Frey, L.L.C. has represented numerous juveniles at all stages of the legal process. We work hard to tailor favorable resolutions and when need be, prepare extensive and effective defenses at trial.
Over the years it has been very gratifying to be contacted by adults whom we once represented as juveniles, who tell us of their productive and successful lives.
