Attorney Ian Friedman of Friedman Nemecek Long & Grant, L.L.C., L.L.C., is representing a local café owner following a fatal shooting that occurred during an attempted robbery. The owner allegedly shot a man who was attempting to rob his business.
Cleveland.com covered the attempted robbery that took place early Tuesday morning in the Ohio City neighborhood. Information regarding the identity of those involved or the specific circumstances has not been released by the police. However, records say that there was an attempted robbery at a café and gunshots were heard. When paramedics arrived at the scene, they transported the robber to MetroHealth, where he died.
When asked to comment on the incident, Ohio criminal defense attorney, Ian Friedman, explained, “(Through) no fault of his own, my client was put in what any person would perceive as a life-threatening situation.”
Most of us, fortunately, will never be put in such a life-threatening situation but we must consider how we would respond if we were placed in the café owner’s position - confronted by an armed robber.
