Friedman & Nemecek, L.L.C. is proud to announce that Attorney Eric
Long has accepted an invitation to become an Associate with The Judge
John M. Manos Inn of Court. The prestigious and exclusive organization
was founded to improve the skills, professionalism, and the ethics of
the Cleveland bench and bar.
Judge John Michael Manos was a Cleveland attorney and judge who was eventually
selected by President Gerald Ford to serve as a federal judge on the United
States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. He served in
that position for 30 years and ruled on key, landmark cases such as
O'Brien v. Westlake City Schools Board of Education and the Mobil Oil Company's attempt to acquire Marathon Oil.
The Judge John M. Manos Inn of Court now furthers Judge Manos' legacy
of legal excellence. As an Associate, Attorney Long will help enrich the
local legal community here in Cleveland. "I am very honored to accept
this invitation-only position and look forward to getting further involved
in this prestigious and well-respected organization," Attorney Long says.
This is not Attorney Long's only notable industry membership. He is
a member of the American Bar Association and the Ohio Association of Criminal
Defense Lawyers, among other organizations. He is also the recipient of
the Award for Excellence in Pro Bono Service from the Judges of the United
States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Chicago
Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.
We congratulate Attorney Long on his latest honor and know that The Judge
John M. Manos Inn of Court will only benefit from his compassionate and
diligent approach towards protecting the rights and interests of the accused.
