From a very early age, Tiana knew that she was to practice criminal and civil rights law. She joined Friedman & Nemecek in 2020 after graduating from Case Western Reserve University School of Law with a concentration in Criminal Law. With her sights set on representing individuals faced with prosecution or victimization at the hands of the government, Tiana gained vast experience from the very beginning of her legal education. In addition to being a member of the Case Western Reserve University’s Jonathan M. Ault Mock Trial Team, she garnered practical experience through the Milton A. Kramer Law Clinic which allowed her to represent individuals charged with crimes in the Cleveland and Cleveland Heights Municipal Courts.
Prior to joining the firm, Tiana worked as an extern at the Federal Public Defender’s Office, Northern District of Ohio and City of Cleveland Prosecutor’s Office. While employed at another prominent defense firm, Tiana immediately exhibited her high caliber of lawyering by securing conviction reversals in the Cuyahoga County Court of Appeals.
As an associate attorney, Tiana focuses on representing individuals and entities through government investigations and those who have been charged or indicted with offenses at the municipal, state and federal levels. Moreover, she will continue to stand against abuse toward citizens by seeking to hold government actors accountable for their actions as a dedicated civil rights attorney. Tiana fiercely believes that no one is above the law and she uses her skill set to protect those who would otherwise find it near impossible to successfully challenge the overwhelming resources of the government.
Tiana is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, the Norman S. Minor Bar Association and the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
