Highschool student was charged with Felonious Assault after report that he attempted to inflict serious bodily harm by way of a knife on a mental health professional. Ian Friedman and Madelyn Grant moved the prosecutor for a delay in presentation to the Cuyahoga County Grand Jury so that they could present findings from the comprehensive defense investigation. The investigation yielded numerous witness statements, added physical evidence, site calculations, and consideration of favorable case precedent. All findings, including accuser inconsistencies, were conveyed to the prosecutor. After further consideration of all evidence, it was determined that the matter would not be presented to the Grand Jury for Indictment. The case was then dismissed at the municipal court without any finding of guilt. The student concluded the academic year without any criminal implications.
