We are proud to announce that Ian N. Friedman successfully defended Ben Suarez's company, Suarez Corporation Industries (SCI), which was up against federal election fraud and obstruction of justice charges, a case brought before the Federal Court of the Northern District of Ohio.
On Monday, June 30, 2014, Suarez, with his family closely by his side, exited the Federal Courthouse in downtown Cleveland after Suarez was found not guilty of violating campaign finance laws, and his company and co-defendant in the case, Suarez Corporation Industries was found not guilty on all counts. "The 500 people who work for SCI know they can go to work tomorrow and the lights will be on and they can keep earning a living for their families," said Attorney Friedman.
After a month-long trial, we are grateful to the jury that contemplated the evidence and listened to our oral arguments, ultimately concurring with our claim that Suarez Corporation Industries was not guilty of committing the improper conduct alleged by the government.
As SCI's defense attorneys, we are absolutely thrilled with Monday's verdict and grateful to the jury for vindicating our client. SCI has a major presence in the local community and employs hundreds of hardworking men and women. As one of Stark County's largest employers, SCI is glad that this trial is finally over and is looking forward to continue offering quality products and supporting its community.
This case was another success for Attorney Ian N. Friedman and our legal team.
